Photo-montages

Photomontages
For the brief requirement we were tasked to create a photo-montage.
It's important that the images used are sourced and copyright free
The image image does not use copyright free images and all layers were flattened to improve computer performance to allow me to add more images. The image was then flattened again and thus there is no proof that the images are copyright free and no display of working progress

After realizing the importance of using copyright free images I created a second photomontage
I ran into trouble finding high quality copyright free images and the selection of images was very limited. The images in this are low quality and not the best images I had imagined for the scene.
What I do like about this one however is that it is very simple. The previous one was very messy and sketchy looking. Which is fine, I wasn't aiming for seamlessness but this one here is more in the direction of a seamless photo-montage that given enough skill could be believable as a raw photo.
I also made the mistake of flattening the image again.

This image is not finished and is unlikely to be ever finished. I failed to complete it in time but it's something and perhaps could be passed off as finished and just a funky looking plane thing. The background looks alright, the lights could use some work to make them look more unique from one another maybe and the sky is lacking clouds.
I found my computer at home was not strong enough to allow me to work on this at home. There are many layers all featuring large images around 5mb each. The actual file is only about 20 something mb. I don't know how computers work but I wasn't working on my computer without jittering and crashing. I could have and should have worked on it at college during my freetime so there's no excuse.

tl;dr
was lazy but it may be passable if I'm lucky, not holding my breath

The image features 100% copyright free images. All of very nice quality.
All the layers are still intact and not flattened.

Above is a progress of the image, starting with 2 background images. I used the night sky of the night scene with the day ground of the day scene and Photoshopped it all to make it look like a night time scene.
I added lots of lights and a plane, I modified the plane a bunch, added some more trees to the ground and a bunch of other small minor things.
There is the beginning of a building behind the plane but I haven't fully worked it out yet
This was the original idea for the photo-montage. The idea was based of an old drawing I had on my computer. It's a bit hard to work of what's going on. The idea was to create this helicopter/quadroter, plane thing landing in some sort of base with lots of floodlights. The plane would not land like a regular plane it would come down like a helicopter and gently touch down on the landing pad with those little ant like legs you can see.
I believe the initial influence of the scene was from a stage in the Call of Duty series where the characters are in a base with lots of floodlights at nighttime. I think there was a bit in it where a helicopter lands and the area is completely flooded with security and floodlights.
Fun fun
